What To Expect

North Valley Baptist Church is a friendly, Bible-Believing, Independent Baptist Church serving the north side of Phoenix, Arizona.

Nursery (All services for children 0 - 2 years old)

We strive to keep a safe and clean environment for our little ones so our parents can enjoy or participate in the services without worry or interruption. For the safety of the children, our nurseries are "well-baby" nurseries and are staffed appropriately.

Children's Ministries (3 years old - 6th grade)

Children Ministry

Through our various children's ministries, we seek to teach the basic truths of the Bible, to instill a healthy respect for authority (especially parents), and to create a desire to live a life that would be pleasing to God and beneficial to others.

Teen Ministries (7th grade - 12th grade)

Teen Ministry

Our teens face many temptations. They are often encouraged to "enjoy the moment" without any regard for the consequences. This is why we seek to instill in them biblical wisdom, so they can make sound decisions in accordance with God's will. We want them to enjoy the days of their youth, but not at the expense of their eternity. Therefore, we have weekly Bible classes, monthly activities, yearly camps, youth rallys, and conferences all in an effort to see them grow in God's grace.

Adult Bible Studies

Adult Class Bible studies are a unique way to dig into God's Word on a more personal level. At North Valley, we strive to put teachers in place that will both help and challenge those who are interested in strengthening their relationship with the Lord.

Special Events

Church Event

Throughout the year, we host many different events. Men's conferences, ladies' retreats, revivals, missions conferences, and fellowships are all held to focus on specific needs of our people or the world in which we live. Because it is so easy to get side-tracked in this life, because it is so easy to allow the urgent to drive away that which is most important, we host these events to get our priorities back where they belong.

Church Service

How Should I Dress?

There is not a dress code at North Valley Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many in our church family dress in more traditional "Sunday" dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at North Valley Baptist!

Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?

No. We don't invite you to North Valley Baptist Church for your offering. We want our services to be a gift to you. We hope you will find a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. If you want to participate in the offering, you are obviously welcome to do so, but please do not feel obligated.

What is our music like?

While our music is traditional in nature, it is by no means boring. Realizing the goodness and greatness of our God, we sing with power and fervor to give Him the praise that He rightly deserves. Our music is designed for praise and worship, not entertainment. We believe that the genuine praise of the saints has a special ability to move the heart of God, as well as lift up the spirits of those who are burdened with cares.

Whether you are a first-time visitor or long-time member, we hope you can make some or all of the upcoming events.

What We Believe

We believe in one God; Who is eternal, self-existent, infinite, and immutable. We believe He has one nature, one essence, and one substance; yet manifests Himself to man in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the revealed Word of God, fully and verbally inspired of God. We believe the Scriptures to be the inerrant, infallible Word of God, as found within the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation. We believe that God not only inspired every word, but that He has preserved them through the ages.

The Church

We believe that the church began with the calling out of the twelve apostles by Jesus Christ and was empowered on the day of Pentecost. We believe the local church is composed of members who have been saved and baptized according to the command of Christ, and have voluntarily united together for the purposes of worship, fellowship, service, and observance of the ordinances of baptism and communion.

We believe Jesus Christ to be the one and only Saviour of mankind. We believe Jesus Christ to be eternally God and to possess all the attributes of Deity. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was virgin-born, that He was God incarnate, and that the purposes of the incarnation were to reveal God, to redeem men, and to rule over God's kingdom.
